What Would You Do With $50,000?

There are no strings attached. Someone sets your church up with $50,000 a year, with the only stipulation being that it must be used for college ministry. The only assumption here is that no college ministry is currently taking place. What would you advise your church to do with the money?? Lay the answers on me, I would love to hear what you think.

  1. I would hire an expert for a short-term commitment (3 months) during the school year (either fall or spring semester).

This person would exegete the context in full - both the campus(es) and the church. No preconceptions would be entertained; all (biblical) possibilities would remain on the table. Even structures unused in any other context.

He/she would then help the church determine its best possible College Student Plan. They would then decide what to do in future years.

This is how we start missions, right? And that's what we're doing.

Without knowing context, I think it's impossible to know steps. There are just way too many differences out there.
